Sketch! is the very first project that we managed to complete and even if it’s a “simple” card game, there has been and there is still a lot of work involved!
How it all started..
The first draft of Sketch! had way less rules, only a few action cards and a very very different look!
Over the course of two years we refined the rules, helped by our friends, and played countless games of Sketch! until we were satisfied with all the mechanics.
Now we are proud to present it to you, so go and have fun!

Game Overview
Win by being the player with the lowest score at the end of the game.
To do so, “Sketch!” as often as possible to get rid of your cards and sabotage your opponents with action cards.
- Each player receives 4 cards which are placed face-down on the table.
- Each player can then look at two of their cards and must memorize them carefully because they cannot be looked at again!
- Each turn, a player draws 1 card and discards 1 card.
- Outside of their turn, everyone can call out Sketch! when on top of the discard pile there’s a card that they also have, and discard it!
- Whenever an action card is discarded, the action is immediately resolved, unless it gets Vetoed!
- You can decide to Launch the Assault at the end of your turn if you feel confident you have good cards (a low score)!
The game ends when:
- A player who has “Launched the Assault” is about to begin their turn.
- A player with no more cards in hand is about to begin their turn.
- There are no cards left in the draw pile at the start of a player’s turn.

SKETCH! Kids
Do you like Sketch but you think it too difficult for children? Do you have a lousy memory? Do you just want to try a different version of the game?
WORRY NOT! Sketch! Kids is exactly what you are looking for!
In Sketch! Kids we simplified the rules to allow children 4y+ to play along!
The main differences with the standard Sketch! are the the following:
- every time you are allowed to see a card (at the beginning of the game, or any card you draw) that card is placed face up on the table.
This makes things easier memory-side but adds depth to the strategy of the game, since the cards are face up and all players can see them, and will play accordingly. - Vetoes are optional: you can choose to use them or not.
The origins of Sketch! Kids
This version of the game was was created when our 4-year-old daughter really wanted to play Sketch! but, of course, memorizing the cards turned out to be too difficult..
So we came up with a simplified set of rules, a version of Sketch with partially revealed cards and on top of that, a more colorful and playful design!
